We have been buying this product for a year now and have had great results. This is added as a supplement in all natural dog food we make for our own dogs. As one of our dogs had many heart, respiratory and skin issues, two separate vets linked it to old age and nothing more they could do. on the verge of having to put her down, we turned to the idea of all natural raw diet for dogs we heard of, which consists of nothing more than raw meat (as the wild animals eat) vegetables, rice and/or potatoes, and a couple added supplements as in this calcium supplement. Our dog made a complete turn around within a couple weeks of the diet. She is back to playing with lots of energy and her hair has grown back in. Her heart still has issues, but is much better than ever before. Of course this supplement alone is not the cure, but it is an essential part in their diet.There is many different brands of seaweed calcium, but this is the one we chose and have had positive results, so we will always continue to purchase this brand.

Seems like a good quality product but if you are looking for something to add to your dog's food that has already been made then it will be quite difficult to figure out the dosage. I wanted this product to add needed calcium to my dog's homemade food as not all my meat has bone in it and his dental health is too poor for him to chew raw bones. I had already made a batch of food, that has no bone in it, and portioned it out in the freezer so I wanted to be able to have a supplement that I could just sprinkle on his food when he eats. Unfortunately, the only serving recommendations given on the container say to add so much to however many pounds of food and no recommendations for how much to feed per meal per the dog/cat's weight so I have no idea how much to add at meal time. I am just going to give a tiny sprinkle I guess as he needs the supplementation and I have already prepared this batch of food and can no longer add in the calcium per however many pounds of food I made. I can do this next time I make a batch of food without bone meal already in it but there really should be some sort of feeding recommended based on the dog's or cat's weight so the supplement can be added to already prepared meals.

I have been using this product for about 6 months and it brought my dogs low calcium bloodwork up to normal. He is a 65 pound German Shepard mix and I mix in a heaping spoonful with every meal(homemade fresh food). Not sure of the reviews that have people adding this to how many pounds of food they have. It says right on the package 1 spoonful for every 25 pounds that your dog weighs. My dog is picky and has no issues eating his food with the powder on it. No digestive problems either. You can also add a little water on top of the food and mix it in to remove the chalkiness. Organic Nonfat greek yogurt is also a great way to give your dog calcium and protein but not every dog can tolerate dairy.
