‘No Evidence’ of Coronavirus Spread Via Pets, American Humane Says

WASHINGTON, DC — There’s no evidence that pets are a source of infection of COVID-19 or that they become sick, American Humane said in a news release.  And, both the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as the World Organisation for Animal Health have issued advisories saying there is no evidence that companion animals can spread the virus. “Therefore, there is no justification in taking measures against companion animals which may compromise their welfare,” the animal health organization said.This good news comes as growing numbers of pet owners are voicing concerns about whether their pets are carrying the coronavirus.  READ MORE HERE.
