Frequently Asked Questions

VITALITY provides Maitake-specific support for normal immune function and metabolic balance. It is a single-mushroom formula, not a blend of complementary mushrooms.

Yes. Dogs receive an amount based on body weight; cats receive ¼ scoop (¼ tsp) once daily.

Best if administered directly into mouth or combine with your pet’s regular routine, once daily. Administer during or after the animal has eaten. Use the supplied scoop.

VITALITY supports normal immune and metabolic function with consistent use. Response varies by pet. Monitor usual activity and tolerance, and review ongoing use with your veterinarian.

No. The product is not artificially flavored. Its natural taste and aroma come from the formula itself.

Ask the veterinarian to demonstrate an appropriate administration method if the pet resists or has trouble swallowing.

VITALITY contains a 1:1 hot-water extract of Maitake. Each teaspoon provides 2,800 mg extract, including 700 mg beta-glucans as constituents. Beta-glucans are part of the extract, not an extra ingredient to add to the total.

Review other mushroom products and all medications with the veterinarian before combining them. Extra Maitake may duplicate an ingredient already present in a blend; routine stacking is not necessary.

Consult a veterinarian before use in pets with diabetes, low blood pressure, mushroom allergy, a medical condition or medication use, especially glucose-regulating, blood-pressure, anticoagulant or immune-modulating drugs. Safety in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven. Stop use and consult a veterinarian if the condition worsens or does not improve. Give during or after eating.

In a few days, health improvements were clearly evident. My first priority was blood sugar and Chase/Airedale's quivers reduced to once or not at all per day. His energy level saw a noticeable uptick. The redness of skin calmed down significantly. We are going to stay with this to continue to aide his skin inflammation, bolster his immune system and his blood sugar levels in balance.

Trusted brand with high quality ingredients

I have used this brand for immune support for my aging dog and have been very happy with the quality. The jar was well sealed, and the powder has a rich mushroom smell. I feed dehydrated raw and add the powder before rehydrating, and both of my dogs clean their plates. No stomach upset at all, and I plan to keep using this powder. Highly recommend.

The maitake version has worked well for us

I specifically wanted a simple maitake mushroom supplement for my GSD, and this one has worked well for us. He has had no issues with it at all, and after almost two weeks of use he seems more comfortable and less itchy. I will definitely be getting more when we run out.

Great supplement for my senior dog

My senior dog has been on this for a few months and I've noticed she has more energy and seems healthier overall. The powder mixes easily into her food and she doesn't seem to notice it at all. Will continue buying.

Great stuff!

My dog really loves the new addition to his food, as long as I add water and mix it in. He eagerly waits for me to add it and eats all his food in one sitting now, instead of his usual nibbling throughout the day. He's getting older and I know how beneficial adaptogenic mushrooms are for his health, so I am so glad he likes it.

Great addition to food

No fillers, no additives, made in the USA. Top 3 awesome features. I get this one and the one with Turkey Tail mushrooms also and love both products. I make my dog's food at home after much research. This is a great addition that offers so many health benefits. My dog absolutely loves it.

Great supplement for my senior dog

Helps boost immunity for my 14yr rr. She's got all the typical old dog lumps and bumps and has slowed progressively through the years but I wholeheartedly believe that mushroom supplements such as these really help in maintaining their quality of life and vitality even into their platinum years.
